Functional description

Content providers can use this product to distribute SMS messages to mobile users in the USA and Canada. The mobile users receive the SMS messages almost instantly.

What happens when SMS Bulk messages are submitted?

1.    The Content Provider sends out SMS messages containing the information he wants to allocate to the mobile users via Anchor’s SMS Gateway from his five-digit access number. The mobile users then receive the SMS messages free of charge.

2.   Next, the SMS Bulk messages are sent via Anchor’s SMS center to mobile users in the USA or Canada. The Bulk SMS API service also allows the mobile user to send a reply in return to the content provider’s access number. Anchor then will invoice  the content provider once a month.

Bulk SMS API enables content providers to send out SMS messages in large quantities in addition to mobile users who have not requested a SMS service. The content provider can also use the provided service to send out SMS messages when the mobile user has asked for information or a service. The Bulk SMS service cannot be used whatsoever to allocate SMS messages containing advertisements including commercial.
