Anchor Mobile Acquires Assets of Recess Mobile

Anchor Mobile which is a part of Anchor Media Communications and Digital Services has purchased assets of one of it competitors, Recess Mobile. Anchor Mobile has many services they offer to companies such as While Label SMS Platforms, Mobile App Tool, QR Code Generator, AMMP (Auto Mobile Marketing Program), a mobile business card platform (MobiContact), a Carrier Lookup Service for mobile number carrier detection, and many other options.

With cellular phones becoming more and more popular every day and especially smart phones SMS (Short Message Service) is a great way to reach people. SMS is a text message service that ables companies to send out a short text message containing information to mobile phones. It is being used in many ways such as directions to a location, deals or coupons of the day or week, bank account alerts, school closing alerts and so on. SMS allows you to send 160 characters in one message, which is if the message is in standard Latin alphabet. If the language happens to be Chinese it allows you to use 70 symbols.

Recess Mobile was started in 2009 by Vitaliy Levit and his partner. They developed many SMS Communication solutions which includes a White Label SMS Platform, a SMS Reminder Program, and many other programs.

Details of the transaction such as finances amongst other details are not disclosed. Anchor Communications and Recess Mobile are both happy with the deal.

Levit was asked about the buy out and he stated that,”We are just heading in a new direction and are stepping away from the White Label SMS Marketing industry.”

Anchor Mobile is one of the top four White label Mobile Marketing Solutions in the nation. Anchor Mobile started in 2007 going in head first to the mobile marketing business. Since the Anchor has been expanding its business to keep up with the ever growing mobile marketing world.

When Anchor’s CEO TJ Kirgin was asked about the purchase of Recess Mobile he said, “The acquisition included many web properties, domain names and data. This acquisition will position us [Anchor Mobile] well to compete moving forward with the remaining competitors.” Anchor Mobile also intends to advance with more investing in the upcoming years.
